How to hide Zoom’s floating toolbar on a Mac
Move or hide Zoom’s sharing controls on Mac, distinguish the local toolbar from the received feed, and keep a clear way to stop sharing.

Get out of the way.The short answer
Zoom lets you move its floating meeting controls and provides a show/hide shortcut on Mac: Control + Option + Command + H. Check your Zoom keyboard settings. Hiding the toolbar locally does not, by itself, prove what the audience or a separate recorder sees.
Clear your workspace without losing the stop button
The floating Zoom bar always seems to land on the browser tab or menu you need next. You can make room without changing the content you share. First separate two questions: is the toolbar blocking your own work, or is it actually visible in the received share?
Those are different problems. A meeting tool can display local controls that its own capture handles specially, while a separate recorder uses another capture path. Check the output instead of assuming your screen and the audience view match.

Move the controls
Zoom documents that its floating sharing toolbar can be dragged to another location. Move it away from the part of the presentation you need to click.

Use the show/hide shortcut
Zoom’s Mac shortcut list includes Control + Option + Command + H for floating meeting controls. Check Zoom’s Keyboard Shortcuts settings if you have customized it or another app intercepts the keys.

Rehearse getting it back
Bring the toolbar back before your real call so you know how to stop sharing. Clearing a distraction should not leave you searching for an exit during a presentation.

What your audience sees
When you use ScreenVeil
Start Privacy Screen, then select that window in Zoom. Follow the compatibility page’s Zoom settings note and verify with non-sensitive content. ScreenVeil cannot change every meeting app’s highlight preferences or guarantee that every recorder excludes every control overlay.
Keep Privacy Screen visible while selecting it. Let ScreenVeil dismiss its preview once sharing is detected; use Show Privacy Screen from the menu if you need to select it again. Changing Zoom’s toolbar visibility is a separate action from stopping or hiding the filtered feed.
What about Google Meet’s controls?
Meet’s controls live in a browser. Excluding the entire browser can also exclude public work in that application. Prefer a suitable tab or window source; do not share the Meet tab itself if you intend to show your presentation.
If you use ScreenVeil for a multi-app presentation, choose its Privacy Screen window in Meet and prepare the browser’s public and private content separately. A Zoom preference cannot configure Meet on someone else’s computer.
