ScreenVeil is here

ScreenVeil is a Mac utility that creates a separate Privacy Screen window for meetings and recordings. Selected private apps stay usable locally while you share that window. This launch announcement is retained with current offer details; setup instructions, compatibility notes and release history are maintained on their dedicated pages.

ScreenVeil for Mac gives you a separate window to share in meetings, with your private apps left out and still usable on your Mac. The first three sessions are free.

What did ScreenVeil launch to do?

ScreenVeil lets you keep private apps open while presenting a separate, filtered window. Mark the apps you want to keep private, start Privacy Screen and select that window in the meeting or recording app.

This is a short release announcement, originally published on July 3, 2026. The current setup guide and changelog carry the operational details and subsequent changes.

What is the current offer?

You can try it with 3 free sessions, no card needed. It asks for an email the first time you use it. After that, Pro gives you unlimited protected sessions for $9.99, paid once, plus applicable tax. There's no subscription.

This announcement was updated after launch. The annual price and five free sessions it originally mentioned no longer apply.

What should you check before sharing?

Check the selected source and the receiver view before presenting private material. If you share your whole display or another window, ScreenVeil cannot filter that capture. It also cannot hide one browser tab or private text inside an allowed window.

ScreenVeil requires macOS 14 or later. The compatibility page describes the supported sharing workflow and its limits. Use fictional content for a short rehearsal with the meeting or recording tool you intend to use.
